Winfield's Water Source
Winfield City Lake is the source of water for the Winfield service area. Raw water from the lake is treated at the City's Water Treatment Plant, which has a capacity of 5.5 MGD. The City's system provides treated water to most of Cowley County, including five Rural Water Districts, the cities of Burden and Oxford, and the Winfield community. The City was awarded the 2005 Public Works Project of the Year by the APWA Kansas Chapter, as well as, the 2005 Kansas Contractors Association Recognition of Excellence for the renovation of the Water Treatment Plant. Walters Morgan Construction, Inc. of Manhattan, KS was the Contractor and Professional Engineering Consultants PA the Consultant.

Water Quality Report
The 1996 Safe Drinking Water Act required that cities provide citizens with an annual water report. This report is designed to inform you about the quality of the water and services we deliver to you everyday.
